What To Expect

Day 0:

Gut microbiome is in a state of imbalance. Methane producing bacteria slow intestinal transit time and water is drawn out of stool, making it hard. This creates constipation, pain and discomfort.

Day 15:

The microbial community starts shifting towards balance. The beneficial bacteria help food move faster through the gut. There is a noticeable improvement in symptoms.

Day 60:

The microbiome is further shifted towards balance with even faster intestinal transit time. You feel less discomfort and pain. Stools are more regular.

Day 120:

The shift in the microbiome is complete. Stools are regular and well formed. You will now get long lasting relief from constipation with zero discomfort or heaviness.

FAQ

Can synbiotic supplements be taken with antibiotics?

Taking synbiotics together with antibiotics is safe and will not cause any adverse effects. Antibiotics will drastically reduce the efficacy of probiotics because of their antibacterial properties. It is advisable to start taking synbiotics one day after the antibiotics course is over.

I am taking other medications. Can I still take synbiotic supplements?

Our supplements are safe to consume with medication but it is always best to check with your health care provider.

When can I expect to see initial results?

Microbial communities take time to build. In 2-6 weeks, you will see an improvement in your symptoms. For long term results you should expect to take supplements for 3 months regularly and post that as per need.

How long should a person take synbiotic for?

Microbial communities take time to build. For long term results you should expect to take supplements for 3 months regularly and post that as per need.

Is it safe to take synbiotic supplements long-term?

All of the strains in Sova supplements are GRAS (generally recognized as safe) ingredients. There is no problem taking them long term.

What are synbiotics?

When probiotics and prebiotics are combined, they form synbiotics, which can have a synergistic effect on gut health. Probiotics provide the beneficial microorganisms, while prebiotics provide the food and environment necessary for them to thrive. Together, they can help improve digestive function, boost the immune system, and reduce the risk of various diseases.

Are there any side effects to taking synbiotic supplements?

Synbiotic supplements are generally safe for most, but they may cause temporary side effects such as bloating, gas, especially in the first 2 weeks. This is a natural temporary process caused by the live bacteria taking effect.

When you take synbiotic supplements containing live bacteria, those bacteria begin to populate your gut microbiome. This can cause some temporary side effects, such as bloating, gas, and mild digestive discomfort, especially in the first few weeks of use. This is because the new bacteria are interacting with the existing bacteria in your gut, and your gut microbiome is adapting to the new microbial environment.

As the new bacteria begin to take effect, they may start to break down and ferment dietary fibers and other carbohydrates that are not typically digested by the body. This process can produce gas, which can lead to bloating and mild discomfort.

While these side effects can be uncomfortable, they are generally considered to be a natural part of the process as your gut microbiome adapts to the new bacteria. In most cases, these side effects should subside within a few weeks as your gut microbiome adjusts.

It is important to note that if you experience severe or prolonged side effects, or if you have a weakened immune system, SIBO, or other serious health conditions, you should consult with your healthcare provider before taking synbiotic supplements.

Do the supplements need to be refrigerated?

Sova’s supplements are to be stored below 25°C.

Sova’s supplements are generally safe for people with food allergies, all of the strains in our supplements are GRAS (generally recognized as safe) ingredients. But in rare cases, they may cause a reaction. Please consult your health care provider to be on the safe side.
